I noticed that on my refurbished new to me iPhone 11 the thumbnail of the screenshot just taken, which disappears much too fast, appears to be blank. Specifically the top half is just white and the bottom half is a very dark grey. None of these screenshots are to be found anywhere in ‘photos’. It almost seems that the screenshots are consciously designed not to work in some apps, most notably YouTube. Do you know anything about that?

If you have a Files app on your tablet, open it, go to Internal Storage > DCIM > Screenshots. You should find them there.

I have a Lenovo Tab P11 Plus and every single article I’ve read says the screenshots are saved to the gallery app. There is no gallery app on the P11 Plus. Nor does a single screenshot save to Google Photos. I’ve checked every section and folder. There is a screenshots folder but it does not contain any. I’ve checked every app but there are none that I can find that save screenshots or pictures of any kind. Google is sending my screenshots to a galaxy (no not that Galaxy) far far away, never ever to be seen. :’(

I have Samsung phone with android9. When I take a screenshot it’s supposed to go into SCREENSHOTS folder in GALLERY. Just took 3 screenshots. They’re not in gallery. Neither is SCREENSHOTS folder.

On my iPad I have done a screen shot and saved to files. It tells me they have gone to Pages, but although they are there in Pages it will not let me open it. Any suggestions as to what I do next? Thank you

For my purposes this article misses the point. I am not interested in saving screenshots so I have to dig for them. I want to immediately print the screenshot on my printer without intervening steps – what I call monkey motion. One key combination – screen captured to paper – move on to next thing. It is very hard to find software to do this for Windows and Mac OS in my estimation. I am using software from 1994 on Windows for this function on Windows 7 – not sure if it will work in Win10. Would be nice to have more current software for this critical function.
