It has 32 GB, but in my Windows it is seen having only 21 GB.

Windows takes more than 10 GB of those 21 GB, where the WinSXS folder from C:Windows takes more than 5 GB and couldn’t be minimized using the trivial commands.

Is it possible to have so many died cells? I use it for about 6 monhts.

So, at this moment I only can store less that 5 GB useful files. I uninstalled almost everything that was not useful.

    • SPACE PROBLEM says:

Probably the space problem is related to some useless files.

      POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
      1) INTERNET EXPLORER TEMPORARY FILES
The most common thing is to have some very old temporary files from Internet Explorer in C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsINetCache . Here are some subfolders. To see such a folder, not only do you have to check Show hidden files & folders option in the Folder Options, but also uncheck Hide protected operating system files/folders option.

You can also clear those files from Internet Explorer – if you are not so experienced to work with the operating file system (something like settings/options > General tab > Delete… > check Temporary files … ) periodically (once a week).

      2) GOOGLE CHROME UPDATE FILES
If you will find some big files (probably around 50 MB) that are kits, you can remove them.

      3) DON’T SYNC YOUR PC WITH E-MAIL
Probably, you will be able to save about 1GB in this way…

A person who wants to use ” very advanced applications which require lots of computing power” on this type of devices is simply an *!@*!*. The fact that it is a Celeron, with only 2gb of memory and 32gb of space, 11.6 monitor should already make things very clear about the computing power/possibilities of the Toshiba CL10. It’s like expecting a high-tech bicycle to fly. It’s high tech, it’s new, shiny and great but it’s still just a “bicycle”. If you want “helicopter” pay the right price for it…

All we did was be clear about the appropriate target audience for this device. And…. Your problem is? Why do you feel the need to offed others?

Regarding fn key, you mentioned that you have to pres fn + F1 in order to execute a regular F1 command. Isn’t it possible to deactivate this option by pressing fn+Esc?
I had the same problem on a Lenovo Laptop, and this was the solution.

    • MY NAME says:

I’ve seen this option in BIOS.

When you start your computer, press F2 and try to change it from there (you can use your mouse to navigate in its BIOS).

After a while, probably you will have some problems with the space. Probably there will be some files created by Internet Explorer that won’t pe removed from C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsINetCache . To see the subfolders, not only do you have to check Show hidden files & folders option in the Folder Options, but also uncheck Hide protected operating system files/folders option.
