i used to use an extension called ‘print what you like’. sometime ago,
recently, it was blocked/disabled by my browsers (brave, edge, ffox on windows 7), claiming ‘security risk’. i choose to use the extension and accept the risk. this was really a great extension. greedy google?

It can be that the extension truly is a security risk. While it does what it promises, it can also steal data like your web browsing history. I think there’s a good reason why all browsers block it.

I used the extension Reader View for Chrome. It is very useful.
    Thank You!!!

I used the extension that was suggested for Chrome (Reader View) to print out a Yahoo article. The extension worked like a charm! Many thanks for the great recommendation!!

PrinterFriendly.com is not recommended by me. I tried it to print a blog (with entries in date/time order) and it did just fine in stripping out a lot of extraneous material. However, remaining material to be printed was a scattered mess of snippets from each blog entry, hardly a useable format. I contacted their support about the issue, and their reply was the program does not work in a blog situation. Well, if the data has to be in such-and-such a form to make their program useful, it is useless to most of us.

I use Microsoft Edge and the option of Clutter Free Printing is not available. I Googled and found it went missing in 1H20. However, the Reader method is still available. Need to update the info before republish?

We will try to update this tutorial in the coming weeks, for the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge. Thanks for letting us know of this issue.

    Hi guys,

Is there also a way to save articles or tutorials found on your website or elsewhere without the extra information such as ads, icons and other stuff?

Many thanks and keep up with the great work you do!
    Dessy
