Maybe I’m doing something wrong because my “Action Center” does not work as you describe. I get notifications but if I click on them they just disappear it never takes me anywhere I can act on them? If there is something I want to fix or investigate I have to hunt for, and hope I find, the proper setting.

“Night Light” button has disappeared from the Action Center and is now unavailable.

Hi David, I don’t know how to fix disappearing, but to find past notifications you can try to use Notification Logger app – https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/notification-logger/9mzf9dmhnh3p.
How do I retrieve a notification I was using but didn’t finish with?
Excellent question, even two years after the issue began.
Further, how do I read the full text of the abbreviated messages in the action centre?
Please read the entire tutorial. It has the answers you seek.
