I followed the directions in this article, but my connection problem was not fixed.
I have a TP-LINK AC1750 router. I pushed the button (on the router) labeled “WPS/reset” and held it for about 30 seconds. There was no change in the connection behavior of three laptops that did not connect to the network before or after pushing the button. Worse yet, the router was reset to its default settings, which I did not desire.

Why the application can’t scan any WiFi but my location is open and my WiFi is open?

  • john harris says:

I followed the steps precisely. After I press the WPS button I get an error message stating “Windows cant get settings automatically. Enter the security key instead.”

Most probably there is something wrong with the WPS feature, and it is not sending the information to your Windows PC.

    what about hidden networks

I cannot connect to wireless internet. I have followed the directions for deleting the network. I still cannot connect. I have followed the directions to reset the wireless adapters. I still cannot connect. I restarted the computer to reset the wireless adapters. I tried pressing the WPS button to connect to the internet. I have entered the password key. I simply cannot connect to the internet. What else can I do?

My laptop doesn’t have an option like the one pictured in the article. It just asks for the password. How to I get my laptop to prompt for the WPS button if it doesn’t give that option when connecting to the network?
