We just got fiber optic in our area from our electric company and we are going to connect to it. They furnish the router or we can buy our own. I do not know which router to purchase. We have a three bedroom home which is approximately 4000 ft.² we have two smart TVs that we would like to connect to mobile phones and a laptop. Very seldom with more than two devices be running at one time since we have no children in the home. I know nothing about routers other than what I read above. What router or what specs should I look for. Any information would be greatly appreciated
I have virgin media broadband in my four bedroom house it’s fine all round the house but I need a router not sure what so I can get WiFi and internet in summer house 12metres away from house what would be best haven’t a clue virgin say they can do something for £10.00 a month but I’d rather have a one of payment any suggestios
We have a fully wired two story 4500 sf home and, 100 feet away, a 1500 sf shop. We’re looking for a wifi 6 mesh solution that can make use of a wired backbone to cover both structures seamlessly. Our internet comes via a 4G router so the wifi router needs to work in bridge mode. Would the ZenWiFi AX do all of this? We may need three routers. Thanks!

It is a large home. The problem will be providing coverage everywhere. Also, the internet connection you’ll get, what speed does it have?
If it is 1 Gbps or below, I recommend this router:

or this mesh Wi-Fi: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/asus-zenwifi-ac-ct8-review/
If the internet reaches 2.5 Gbps, I recommend something like: ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12. I will publish a review for it, tomorrow.
For a large home as yours, a modern mesh Wi-Fi system, with Wi-Fi 6 is a the better choice.
