    If you lose your phone you can’t get into the google universe, and can lose so much.
    There should be a recover email. The other options seem too difficult to understand and set up.
    I don’t like that if you lose your phone, you are screwed.

    I’m not using the 2 step verification of Google, because I do find it inconvenient and I use another email account altogether for my important email.

    I accidentally deleted my Google authenticator app, after reinstalling, it’s not working.

    I’m using an app to control smoke detectors. If smoke is detected, I’m in a panic and need the app immediately and don’t have time for 2-step verification.

    I move about a lot both at home and out of the country. It is a nightmare everywhere to constantly go through this process. Very fortunate that it can be turned off permanently.

    It assumes that my cellphone is tethered to my body. There’s life without a cell phone.

    Im prompted disable 2-factor authy because my google authy app that is generating a token was accidentally deleted

    I need Authenticator OTP (one time password) on my cell phone, downloaded it from play store – it download, but only information, no OTP – I followed the help instructions that prompted me to disable 2 step verification.
