After my last desktop purchase in 11/2013, I am purchasing a cyberpowerpc with the Ryzen 7 3700x processor. I had to stretch financially to afford this new gaming system, but I didn’t want to compromise like I had with my previous desktop purchase. I did want to get a 8 core processor, even if it meant a Ryzen 7 1700 or 2700 processor as I know within the next year or so, more games will demand 8 cores such as Red Dead Redemption 2. Intel wasn’t an option for me as that chip would drive up the costs of purchasing a new gaming system.
By getting the 3700x, I knew that I could forego upgrading for 2-3 years as upgrading the memory or video card is much simpler to do than having to upgrade the motherboard/processor. Your review article and testing of this processor reaffirms that I made the correct choice. Thank you for that as making a $1000+ purchase is not only a financial decision, but it’s an emotional one as well.
